ReanKhmer Curriculum Summary

Image ReanKhmer is planned to have two units. Unit one covers the basics of Khmer alphabet including the dependent vowels and consonants. Unit 2 will cover the consonant subscript, independent vowels, and combining the sounds (brokorb). This unit will be available in the following six months.

Vowel name without the sound SRAK

When people spell Khmer word, the vowel is identified by the word SRAK following by the vowel name. But in this software, the word SRAK is missing when introducing the vowel. This maybe confusing to students who used to learn with that approach.

Our teaching goal here is to get the student to remember the sound of the vowel and not confusing them with the word SRAK. So we do not sound out SRAK in front of the vowel.
