Vowel name without the sound SRAK

When people spell Khmer word, the vowel is identified by the word SRAK following by the vowel name. But in this software, the word SRAK is missing when introducing the vowel. This maybe confusing to students who used to learn with that approach.

Our teaching goal here is to get the student to remember the sound of the vowel and not confusing them with the word SRAK. So we do not sound out SRAK in front of the vowel.

When we name the vowel, we use the work SRAK in front of it to distinguish it from the consonant. We sometimes use the word SRAK PIGNTUOR to specify its a independent vowel (not taught in this unit). But we usually don't say PJUNCHEANEAK (means consonant) in front of the consonant.

For the dependent vowels, we can think of two ways. One is the name of the vowel. This when we SRAK follow by the vowel name. The other is the value or sound of the vowels when they are used with the consonant. Many of the vowels have two distinct sounds. One sound is called Khosak and the other is called Akhosak.

The name of the vowel is the word SRAK follow by the Akhosak sound. In our application, we teach the sound rather than the name. So in chapter 3, you will see that we use Khosak sound when we show the vowel. This can be confusing to some people, where the individual vowel should be call using SRAK follow by the Akhosak sound. Only when the vowel it combined with Khosak consonant that it uses the Khosak sound.

Our reasoning is that we need to teach the Khosak sound so we use this value as to identify the vowel. So student should know the distinction between the name and values of the vowel.
